On the port side, you get 28 total network ports, laid out as 24xPoE,RJ-45Fast Ethernet and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. PoE support means powered endpoints - APs, cameras, phones - plug straight into the switch without extra adapters. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. On top of that, it has SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. With 8 (MB) of onboard flash, firmware and configuration backups don't depend on a remote server.
