- HP Aruba 2915-8G-PoE (J9562A#AC3) is built to handle retail branches running a couple of APs and a PoE phone or two without drama. Small offices, retail counters and branch sites with a handful of APs, cameras or VoIP phones are the sweet spot here - enough PoE to skip extra adapters without paying for enterprise scale. Port-wise, it offers 12 total network ports, laid out as 8xGigabit EthernetPoE,RJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC), topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Beyond the base ports, there's SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 32 (MB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch. With PoE on board, APs, cameras and VoIP phones can draw power directly from the switch instead of separate injectors. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself. On the compatibility side, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, a 19-inch rack fit, takes standard AC power, and uses standard front-to-back airflow to match common data-center airflow layouts. Also, built-in console access makes setup and firmware recovery easier; twisted pair,optical fiber media over SFP (mini-GBIC) covers both copper and fiber runs.
