- HP Aruba 2915-8G-PoE (J9562A#ACQ) is a strong, no-nonsense fit for small clinics or studios that need a few powered ports without a big rack. Small offices, retail counters and branch sites with a handful of APs, cameras or VoIP phones are the sweet spot here - enough PoE to skip extra adapters without paying for enterprise scale. Wiring is handled by 12 total network ports, laid out as 8xGigabit EthernetPoE,RJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC), topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. It rounds this out with SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. A built-in 32 (MB) of flash storage holds firmware images and config backups on the switch itself. With PoE on board, APs, cameras and VoIP phones can draw power directly from the switch instead of separate injectors. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself. On the compatibility side, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, a 19-inch rack fit, takes standard AC power, and uses standard front-to-back airflow to match common data-center airflow layouts. Also, built-in console access makes setup and firmware recovery easier; twisted pair,optical fiber media over SFP (mini-GBIC) covers both copper and fiber runs.
