On the port side, you get 31 total network ports, laid out as 24xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 4xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink and 2xExpansion Module and 1xStacking Module, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. Onboard flash storage of 1 (GB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch.
