  • HP OfficeConnect 1810-8 v2 (J9800AR#ACC) makes sense if you're shopping for home offices and small businesses that just need reliable plug-and-play connectivity. Growing offices and branch sites that want managed features like VLANs, QoS and basic monitoring - but not the cost of a full data-center switch - line up well with this one. Wiring is handled by 8 total network ports, laid out as 7xFast EthernetRJ-45 and 1xGigabit EthernetRJ-45, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. As a Layer 2 switch, it focuses on fast MAC-address forwarding and VLAN segmentation rather than routing. Beyond the base ports, there's a fixed-port design that keeps configuration simple. A built-in 8 (MB) of flash storage holds firmware images and config backups on the switch itself. On the compatibility side, it's desktop-friendly, in a 1U footprint, a 19-inch rack fit, takes ac input power, and uses standard front-to-back airflow to match common data-center airflow layouts.
