This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. Port-wise, it offers 29 total network ports, laid out as 24xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC) and 4x10 Gigabit EthernetSFP+ and 1xExpansion Module, topping out at 10GbE per port.
