  • HP FlexNetwork 3600 24 PoE+ v2 EI (JG301C#AC4) is a solid pick for IT teams standardizing wiring closets across a multi-building campus that don't want to overthink the network layer. Campus IT teams, schools and offices deploying wireless APs and IP cameras at scale get the most from this one, since power and data ride the same cable. It has enough headroom for some virtualization or NAS traffic on the same switch too. Wiring is handled by 30 total network ports, laid out as 24xFast EthernetPoE+,RJ-45 and 4xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink/Stacking and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink/Stacking, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. PoE+ support means powered endpoints - APs, cameras, phones - plug straight into the switch without extra adapters. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. Beyond the base ports, there's SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. With 128 (MB) of onboard flash, firmware and configuration backups don't depend on a remote server. It slots into a standard 19-inch rack in a 1U footprint, without any special hardware, runs on ac input power, and follows standard front-to-back airflow for predictable cooling. Also, built-in console access makes setup and firmware recovery easier; twisted pair,optical fiber media over SFP (mini-GBIC) covers both copper and fiber runs.
