- HP FlexNetwork 3600–24 v2 SI (JG304AR) is the switch IT teams supporting network cores and aggregation layers feeding busy server racks often turn to when they need something that just works. Data centers and server rooms running virtualization hosts, NAS/SAN backbones, render farms or AI/ML training nodes are the natural fit, since all of them move heavy traffic between servers. It also works well aggregating traffic from smaller access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 30 total network ports, laid out as 24xFast EthernetRJ-45 and 4xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Beyond the base ports, there's SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. With 128 (MB) of onboard flash, firmware and configuration backups don't depend on a remote server. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself. Physically, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, rack-friendly, drawing ac input power and exhausting air standard front-to-back airflow, so it fits cleanly next to existing gear.
