- HP OfficeConnect 1910-8 (JG536AR) is built to handle small business networks that want PoE without enterprise-scale port counts without drama. Small offices, retail counters and branch sites with a handful of APs, cameras or VoIP phones are the sweet spot here - enough PoE to skip extra adapters without paying for enterprise scale. It brings 10 total network ports, laid out as 8xFast EthernetRJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC), topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. With PoE on board, APs, cameras and VoIP phones can draw power directly from the switch instead of separate injectors. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. Beyond the base ports, there's SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. Settings and firmware are stored in onboard non-volatile memory, so they survive reboots and power cycles. For installation, it's desktop-friendly, in a 1U footprint, compatible with standard 19-inch racks, runs on ac input power, and moves air standard front-to-back airflow for straightforward rack cooling. Also, built-in console access makes setup and firmware recovery easier; twisted pair,optical fiber media over SFP (mini-GBIC) covers both copper and fiber runs.
