- HP OfficeConnect 1920-8G (JG920A#AKL) is the switch IT teams supporting small retail counters or back offices needing a couple of extra ports often turn to when they need something that just works. Growing offices and branch sites that want managed features like VLANs, QoS and basic monitoring - but not the cost of a full data-center switch - line up well with this one. Wiring is handled by 10 total network ports, laid out as 8xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself. On top of that, it has SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 32 (MB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch. On the compatibility side, it's desktop-friendly, in a 1U footprint, a 19-inch rack fit, takes ac input power, and uses standard front-to-back airflow to match common data-center airflow layouts.
