  • HP OfficeConnect 1420-5G (JH327A#ACD) is a strong, no-nonsense fit for small retail counters or back offices needing a couple of extra ports. It's aimed at home offices, small businesses and workgroups that want extra reliable ports without the complexity of VLANs or CLI configuration - plug it in and it works. Port-wise, it offers 5 total network ports, laid out as 5xGigabit EthernetRJ-45, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Layer 2 operation keeps the design lean - MAC-table forwarding and VLANs, without routing overhead. It rounds this out with a fixed-port design that keeps configuration simple. Firmware and configuration live in onboard non-volatile memory, surviving reboots and power cycles. It slots into a standard 19-inch rack without any special hardware, runs on ac input power, and follows standard front-to-back airflow for predictable cooling. Also, twisted pair media keeps it compatible with existing cabling. GotoDirect sources this HP OfficeConnect switch as a genuine, warranty-backed unit, with fast shipping across the US.
