It also works well aggregating traffic from smaller access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 10 total network ports, laid out as 8x10 Gigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 2x10 Gigabit EthernetSFP+, topping out at 10GbE per port. As a Layer 2 switch, it focuses on fast MAC-address forwarding and VLAN segmentation rather than routing. On top of that, it has SFP+ expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 128 (MB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch.
