  • HP OfficeConnect 1850-48G-4XGT (JL171A#AKL) is the switch IT teams supporting media and rendering studios moving large files between workstations and storage often turn to when they need something that just works. Data centers and server rooms running virtualization hosts, NAS/SAN backbones, render farms or AI/ML training nodes are the natural fit, since all of them move heavy traffic between servers. It also works well aggregating traffic from smaller access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 52 total network ports, laid out as 48xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 4x10 Gigabit EthernetRJ-45, topping out at 10GbE per port. Layer 2 operation keeps the design lean - MAC-table forwarding and VLANs, without routing overhead. It also adds a fixed-port design that keeps configuration simple. A built-in 128 (MB) of flash storage holds firmware images and config backups on the switch itself. Physically, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, rack-friendly, drawing ac input power and exhausting air standard front-to-back airflow, so it fits cleanly next to existing gear.
