- HP Altoline 6960 32QSFP28 (JL280A#ACE) is built to handle network cores and aggregation layers feeding busy server racks without drama. This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. Port-wise, it offers 32 total network ports, laid out as 32x100 Gigabit EthernetQSFP28, topping out at 100GbE per port. On top of that, it has QSFP28 expansion for uplinks. With 8 (GB) of onboard flash, firmware and configuration backups don't depend on a remote server. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself. Physically, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, rack-friendly, drawing ac input power and exhausting air rear-to-front airflow, so it fits cleanly next to existing gear.
