- HP Altoline 6921 48XGT 6QSFP+ (JL315A#ACE) is the switch IT teams supporting IT teams building out server, NAS and storage backbones often turn to when they need something that just works. This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. Port-wise, it offers 54 total network ports, laid out as 48x10 Gigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 6x40 Gigabit EthernetQSFP+,Uplink, topping out at 40GbE per port. Layer 3 support means it routes between VLANs on its own rather than forwarding everything to an upstream router. On top of that, it has QSFP+ expansion for uplinks.
