This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 52 total network ports, laid out as 48xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 4x50 Gigabit EthernetSFP56,Uplink/Stacking, topping out at 50GbE per port. On top of that, it has SFP56 expansion for uplinks. With 32 (GB) of onboard flash, firmware and configuration backups don't depend on a remote server. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself.
