- HP Aruba CX 8360-24XF2C v2 (JL710AR) is a strong, no-nonsense fit for data centers, virtualization hosts and server rooms that need high east-west throughput. This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. Port-wise, it offers 26 total network ports, laid out as 24x10 Gigabit EthernetSFP+ and 2x100 Gigabit EthernetQSFP28, topping out at 100GbE per port. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. On top of that, it has QSFP28 expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 32 (GB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch.
