- HP ProCurve 2824 (J4903-69101) is the switch IT teams supporting media and rendering studios moving large files between workstations and storage often turn to when they need something that just works. Data centers and server rooms running virtualization hosts, NAS/SAN backbones, render farms or AI/ML training nodes are the natural fit, since all of them move heavy traffic between servers. It also works well aggregating traffic from smaller access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 28 total network ports, laid out as 20xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 4xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink and 4xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port.
