- HP ProCurve 2650-PWR (J8165AR) is built to handle large offices consolidating dozens of PoE endpoints onto fewer switches without drama. Campus IT teams, schools and offices deploying wireless APs and IP cameras at scale get the most from this one, since power and data ride the same cable. It has enough headroom for some virtualization or NAS traffic on the same switch too. It brings 52 total network ports, laid out as 48xPoE,RJ-45Fast Ethernet and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. On top of that, it has SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. With 8 (MB) of onboard flash, firmware and configuration backups don't depend on a remote server. Built-in PoE power delivery runs access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones straight off the switch, cutting down on wall adapters. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself.
