- HP ProCurve 6600-24G-4XG (J9264A#ABA) is built to handle network cores and aggregation layers feeding busy server racks without drama. This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 32 total network ports, laid out as 20xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 4xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink and 4xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink and 4x10 Gigabit EthernetSFP+,Uplink, topping out at 10GbE per port. It rounds this out with SFP (mini-GBIC),SFP+ expansion for uplinks. With 4 (MB) of onboard flash, firmware and configuration backups don't depend on a remote server. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. On the compatibility side, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, a 19-inch rack fit, takes ac input power, and uses standard front-to-back airflow to match common data-center airflow layouts.
