- HP Aruba 2915-8G-PoE (J9562A) is the switch IT teams supporting small offices and branch locations powering a handful of APs, cameras or phones often turn to when they need something that just works. Small offices, retail counters and branch sites with a handful of APs, cameras or VoIP phones are the sweet spot here - enough PoE to skip extra adapters without paying for enterprise scale. It brings 12 total network ports, laid out as 8xGigabit EthernetPoE,RJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC), topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Built-in PoE power delivery runs access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones straight off the switch, cutting down on wall adapters. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. On top of that, it has SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. A built-in 32 (MB) of flash storage holds firmware images and config backups on the switch itself. Mounting is straightforward: rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, standard 19-inch rails, standard AC power, and standard front-to-back airflow that lines up with typical rack airflow planning. Also, built-in console access makes setup and firmware recovery easier; twisted pair,optical fiber media over SFP (mini-GBIC) covers both copper and fiber runs.
