- HP Aruba 2620-24-PoE+ (J9625-61001) is the switch IT teams supporting large offices consolidating dozens of PoE endpoints onto fewer switches often turn to when they need something that just works. Campus IT teams, schools and offices deploying wireless APs and IP cameras at scale get the most from this one, since power and data ride the same cable. It has enough headroom for some virtualization or NAS traffic on the same switch too. Port-wise, it offers 28 total network ports, laid out as 24xFast EthernetPoE+,RJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Built-in PoE+ power delivery runs access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones straight off the switch, cutting down on wall adapters. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. Beyond the base ports, there's SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 512 (MB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch.
