- HP Aruba 2530-24-PoE+ (J9779A#ACC) is built to handle campus networks and multi-floor offices with dense wireless AP and VoIP deployments without drama. Campus IT teams, schools and offices deploying wireless APs and IP cameras at scale get the most from this one, since power and data ride the same cable. It has enough headroom for some virtualization or NAS traffic on the same switch too. On the port side, you get 28 total network ports, laid out as 24xFast EthernetPoE+,RJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink and 2xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. On top of that, it has SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. Firmware and configuration live in onboard non-volatile memory, surviving reboots and power cycles. With PoE+ on board, APs, cameras and VoIP phones can draw power directly from the switch instead of separate injectors. Layer 2 operation keeps the design lean - MAC-table forwarding and VLANs, without routing overhead. On the compatibility side, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, a 19-inch rack fit, takes ac input power, and uses standard front-to-back airflow to match common data-center airflow layouts. Also, built-in console access plus a USB port makes setup and firmware recovery easier; twisted pair,optical fiber media over SFP (mini-GBIC) covers both copper and fiber runs.
