This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. Wiring is handled by 34 total network ports, laid out as 24xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC) and 8xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink and 2xExpansion Module, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Layer 4 awareness lets it make forwarding and QoS decisions based on transport-layer data.
