- HP FlexFabric 5800AF-48G (JG225A#ABB) is built to handle organizations running virtualization clusters, NAS arrays or render farms that need low-latency, high-bandwidth links without drama. This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 54 total network ports, laid out as 48xGigabit EthernetRJ-45 and 6x10 Gigabit EthernetSFP+, topping out at 10GbE per port. It also adds SFP+ expansion for uplinks. A built-in 512 (MB) of flash storage holds firmware images and config backups on the switch itself. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself. For installation, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, compatible with standard 19-inch racks, runs on ac input power, and moves air standard front-to-back airflow for straightforward rack cooling.
