- HP FlexNetwork 3600 48 v2 EI (JG300-61001) is the switch IT teams supporting colocation and hosting environments packing dense server racks often turn to when they need something that just works. Data centers and server rooms running virtualization hosts, NAS/SAN backbones, render farms or AI/ML training nodes are the natural fit, since all of them move heavy traffic between servers. It also works well aggregating traffic from smaller access-layer switches. On the port side, you get 54 total network ports, laid out as 48xFast EthernetRJ-45 and 4xGigabit EthernetSFP (mini-GBIC),Uplink/Stacking and 2xGigabit EthernetRJ-45,Uplink/Stacking, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. Layer 3 routing handles inter-VLAN traffic and static or dynamic routes on the switch itself. It rounds this out with SFP (mini-GBIC) expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 128 (MB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch.
