- HP Altoline 6941 32QSFP+ (JL313-61101) is the switch IT teams supporting IT teams building out server, NAS and storage backbones often turn to when they need something that just works. Data centers and server rooms running virtualization hosts, NAS/SAN backbones, render farms or AI/ML training nodes are the natural fit, since all of them move heavy traffic between servers. It also works well aggregating traffic from smaller access-layer switches. Wiring is handled by 32 total network ports, laid out as 32x40 Gigabit EthernetQSFP+, topping out at 40GbE per port. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. On top of that, it has QSFP+ expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 8 (GB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch. Mounting is straightforward: rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, standard 19-inch rails, ac input power, and front-to-rear airflow that lines up with typical rack airflow planning.
