- HP Aruba 8320-48p (JL479A) is a strong, no-nonsense fit for organizations running virtualization clusters, NAS arrays or render farms that need low-latency, high-bandwidth links. This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. Wiring is handled by 54 total network ports, laid out as 48x10 Gigabit EthernetSFP+ and 6x40 Gigabit EthernetQSFP+, topping out at 40GbE per port. On top of that, it has SFP+,QSFP+ expansion for uplinks. A built-in 8 (GB) of flash storage holds firmware images and config backups on the switch itself.
