- HP Aruba CX 8360-16Y2C v2 (JL702A) is the switch IT teams supporting organizations running virtualization clusters, NAS arrays or render farms that need low-latency, high-bandwidth links often turn to when they need something that just works. This model fits data center and server-room deployments: virtualization hosts, NAS and SAN backbones, render farms and AI/ML training nodes that move large volumes of data between servers. It also works well as an aggregation switch feeding traffic up from access-layer switches. Wiring is handled by 18 total network ports, laid out as 16x25 Gigabit EthernetSFP28 and 2x100 Gigabit EthernetQSFP28, topping out at 100GbE per port. Because it supports Layer 3 routing, inter-VLAN traffic and routing tables can live on the switch instead of a separate router. On top of that, it has QSFP28,SFP28 expansion for uplinks. A built-in 32 (GB) of flash storage holds firmware images and config backups on the switch itself. It slots into a standard 19-inch rack in a 1U footprint, without any special hardware, runs on ac input power, and follows front-to-rear airflow for predictable cooling.
