- HP ProCurve 2324 (J4818-61101) is built to handle small networks where simple, unmanaged switching is all that's required without drama. It's aimed at home offices, small businesses and workgroups that want extra reliable ports without the complexity of VLANs or CLI configuration - plug it in and it works. It brings 26 total network ports, laid out as 24xFast EthernetRJ-45 and 2xGigabit EthernetExpansion Module, topping out at Gigabit (1GbE) per port. On top of that, it has Expansion Module expansion for uplinks. Onboard flash storage of 2 (MB) keeps firmware and config backups local to the switch. Layer 2 operation keeps the design lean - MAC-table forwarding and VLANs, without routing overhead. For installation, it's rack-mount, in a 1U footprint, compatible with standard 19-inch racks, runs on ac input power, and moves air standard front-to-back airflow for straightforward rack cooling.
